The Rev. David Faulkner, pastor at The Wedding
Chapel at The
Preserve, is a native of East Tennessee, reared in a family that pioneered
this
area in the 1790's. Having completed his formal education at East Texas
Baptist University (TX), Georgetown College (KY), and Southern Baptist
Theological Seminary (KY), he served as pastor of churches in Kentucky
for fifteen years. After returning to East Tennessee he has served as
the pastor of wedding chapels in and around the Great Smoky Mountains
since 1987. Rev. Faulkner and the chapel staff have been providing custom
designed
wedding packages that are intimate, affordable, thoughtful, and professionally
done for thousands of bridal couples over these years. This "ministry
of marriage" has been featured on ABC, CBS, Turner South, and numerous
television and radio stations across the Southeastern United States.
Rev. Faulkner and the chapel staff have a goal of "providing the best
wedding at the best price, with the best services, in the best location
for one of the best days of your life." That is their committment to you.
Rev. Faulkner was ordained
by the First Baptist Church, Jellico, Tennessee in January, 1968 and
has been pastor of the New Columbus Baptist
Church, New Columbus, Kentucky, and the Bedford Baptist Church, Bedford,
Kentucky. Rev. Faulkner maintains membership in numerous civic and
professional organizations, most recently, Member of the Board of Directors
of the
Gatlinburg Chamber
of Commerce 1997-2006, President of the Wedding Chapel Association
of Gatlinburg 1999-2005, Vice-Chair of the Gatlinburg Economic Development
Committee. Rev. Faulkner has been an active member of the First Baptist
Church of Sevierville for twenty-one years.
